SWEET AND SOUR PASTA RECIPE:
Ingredients:
- Chopped onions
- Canned diced tomatoes
- Eggplant, cubed
- Chopped black olives
- Chopped celery
- 1/4 cup raisins, soaked in warm water
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 2 tbsp. white wine vinegar
- Noodles of your choice
- Oil for sautéing
Instructions:
- Soak 1/4 cup raisins in warm water.
- Cut the vegetables into bite-sized pieces.
- Drain the soaked raisins and add them to the vegetables.
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté the vegetables until tender. Remove them from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add 2 tablespoons of sugar. Stir until the sugar starts to melt and turns brown.
- Carefully add 2 tablespoons of white wine vinegar to the caramelized sugar.
- Return the sautéed vegetables to the pan and mix them with the sweet and sour sauce.
- Cook the noodles according to package instructions.
- Once the noodles are cooked, add them to the pan with the vegetables and sauce.
- Mix well until everything is evenly coated.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
