TOSSED SALAD RECIPE:

Ingredients:

  • 1 head lettuce, torn
  • 1 bunch romaine, torn
  • 1/4 lb. spinach, torn
  • 1 jar artichoke hearts, drained and sliced
  • 1 large red onion, sliced
  • 1 jar green olives with pimento, sliced (quantity up to you)
  • 1 can hearts of palm, chopped
  • Mushrooms, sliced (quantity up to you)
  • Provel cheese (spaghetti-like quantity up to you)

Dressing:

  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 1/3 c. red wine vinegar
  • Salt and pepper
  • Some Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

Toss all ingredients in a large bowl. For the dressing, mix oil, red wine vinegar, salt, pepper, and some Parmesan cheese. Shake well and pour over the salad. Toss to coat. Shake Parmesan cheese over the entire salad 3 or 4 more times and toss. You may need to mix more dressing if you’ve made a large quantity and the salad is not wet enough.
