Deep-Fried Macaroni and Cheese Balls Recipe:

Ingredients:

1 package Kraft Macaroni and Cheese)

milk

butter

Cracked Black Pepper

2 large eggs

Italian Bread Crumbs

Panko Bread Crumbs

Red Hot Riplets Potato Chips (Optional)

Crisco

Instructions

Make mac and cheese according to instructions or personal preference. Crack black pepper into mac and cheese. Refrigerate macaroni and cheese for an hour or until cold and firm. Pack macaroni and cheese into balls and put into a freezer for 30 minutes or until frozen together which holds it together. Prepare egg wash. Put bread crumbs and panko crumbs into separate plates. (Optional) Use a rolling pin to crush Red Hot Riplets then mix into panko bread crumbs. Dunk frozen macaroni balls into egg wash then lightly into  Italian bread seasoning then into panko bread crumb mixture. Heat Crisco under medium heat. Drop Mac and Cheese balls into crisco to deep fry until golden brown.

This dish can be prepared with homemade macaroni and cheese following the same instructions. Use Crisco for most crispy experience. Make a bunch of macaroni and cheese ahead of time and eat it with a meal then refrigerate the leftovers to have for this recipe if you don’t eat all of the delicious macaroni and cheese before!
